„ConnectArts” – nominated project at the 2018 AFCN Awards, “Interdisciplinary Activation” section – is a national self-management program for artists, with the aim of providing them with the necessary tools for the sustainable development of an international career, through a dedicated online multimedia platform: www.connectarts.ro.

What are we doing:
1. Accelerator / workshops
The “ConnectArts” program took place between July and November 2018, the first stage being dedicated to young musicians between the ages of 18-35 with specialized higher education: students, graduates, masters, PhD students. The workshops support mindset change among music professionals by advising on self-promotion – from personal branding to online communication.

2. Portfolio / communication packages
The communication workshops were completed by creating a solid and effective communication package, indispensable in the development of a career as a professional musician of the 21st century. The component elements of the resulting portfolios (audio / video recordings, photos, presentations in Romanian / English / French / German ) are made to high standards thanks to the involvement of some of the best specialists in sound, image or creative writing.

3. Online platform / creative hub
In November, the ISVOR Cultural Association publicly launched the “ConnectArts” online platform – the first community dedicated to artists and the collaborative projects generated by them, a platform where the musicians selected in the first stage were automatically registered; the platform contains – in addition to the presentations of its members – sections dedicated to news, opportunities, tutorials, editorial content, related events (artistic residencies, creative grants and mobility, actions and cultural events, etc.), sections whose purposes are:
– creating the necessary tools for personal development and collaborative projects;
– preparation of subsequent training and consulting sessions for new members, future stages being open to artists from all thematic areas;
– increasing the interest of the general public in the projects and cultural activities carried out by the members of the platform.

The “ConnectArts” project is organized by the ISVOR Cultural Association in partnership with the National University of Music in Bucharest (UNMB), Radio Romania Muzical and Publishing House Radio and is co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration (AFCN).
