The “Seasons” project brings together two valuable composers, representatives of different generations: Cătălin Ștefănescu-Pătrașcu, Doctor of Music, university lecturer at the Guitar Chair / Department of Orchestral Instruments, National University of Music in Bucharest (UNMB); and Andrei Petrache, UNMB graduate majoring in Classical Composition, currently a master’s student in the same major. The two worked together to create eclectic compositions dedicated to the seasons, which two musical groups (Imago Mundi ensemble and Andrei Petrache Trio) translated into a collaborative digital album, fusion (classical composition, contemporary jazz and electronic music) – available soon on specialized online platforms and on the project’s website. Part of the musical works is visually commented through animated graphic illustrations (motion graphics) made by Daniel Ivașcu.

Carefully constructed throughout 2022, the “Seasons” project was gradually revealed to the public; the first stage, a series of creative and educational workshops held in 10 rural secondary schools in Vâlcea county, between November 7 and 11, 2022. On this occasion, the children heard “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi, but also an original contemporary composition transposed into material digital, suitable for all ages (new music videos and animated illustrations / motion graphics), learn about how different artists can create multidisciplinary collective works and learn to build and handle various musical instruments using unconventional, recyclable materials (containers made of plastic, cardboard, wood, rubber, etc.).
